Hello and welcome to the Church of the Naked Shepherd. We are a Gay Apertarian church. The word “Apertarian” comes from the Latin verb “apertario” and means “to lay bare”. Our slogan: “Ecce Ipse Apud Deum Apertario” means: “Behold! I lay myself bare before the Lord.” And we take our slogan quite literally. That is why we are dedicated to living and worshiping God in His-given nakedness. As our statement of belief states we believe that God created human beings to live and worship Him as much as possible in the nude.
Being Gay and having our own Great Gay Commission, we bring that Gayness into our Nudism and, combining the two, praise God for His two magnificent gifts to us. Ours is a very focused ministry. We are a Gay Christian Nudist church. St. Paul has instructed us, as Gay people, “to come out and be ye separate, and touch not the unclean thing.” We are not to pollute ourselves with worldly things, but are exhorted to lift our thinking to heavenly ways and divine things. We are to be satisfied when we awake with His likeness.
That is not to say that we are to forego our human and divine need for love. To do that would demean the wonderful gift of love that God has given us. The Bible quite clearly and specifically spells out God’s plan for His beloved Gay people in easy to understand and very direct language. God, in His divine wisdom, has given us the choice of solo masturbation or Gay matrimony in which to handle not only our need for sex, but also for love. We therefore respond with thanks and live so that we might be a greater witness to those who do not know our Lord.
All to often the Gay Nudist has been turned away from not only his family, but also his church, not only for being Gay, but for being Nudist as well. Here, in this safe environment, we offer peace and harmony so that the healing process can begin. We offer a haven that we hope the Gay male will make available for himself. Although we feel God’s message is complete enough through our facilities we do not demand exclusive membership. Instead we feel that by our love and concern a person would not want to leave. We realize, however, that no church can be all things to all people. But, even if a person should choose to also attend another church, we would still consider him to be a member and a friend of our congregation.
“Taste and see that the Lord is good.” We offer a smorgasbord of spiritual blessings. Help yourself to whatever appeals to your palate. Load your spiritual plate with all the heavenly food you want. And there’s no charge for seconds. In fact we encourage you to come back for more.
When you come to our love feast you will never be an unwanted stranger.
